About Marco Perugini
Marco Perugini is an independent researcher. After a long career teaching Italian language and literature at secondary-school level, he also taught Italian Linguistics as an adjunct lecturer. His research interests include the history and uses of Italian, discourse analysis, cognitive linguistics, and sensory studies.
He is the author of Sulla punta del naso. Per una linguistica sensoriale dell’olfatto (TAB Edizioni, 2026) and of the article “L’odeur du crime. Vers une olfactologie du roman policier italien,” published in Odore, 1 | 2026, DOI: 10.66488/olsd8250.
In La trama dei sensi, he brings scientific research into dialogue with language, literature, and cultural history, with particular attention to the ways sensations become words, memories, images, and judgments.
