About the Project
La trama dei sensi is an author-led periodical edited by Marco Perugini and devoted to the intersections of perception, language, and culture. It publishes three issues a year, each centred on a specific theme and conceived as a coherent intellectual journey.
The project is grounded in verifiable scientific research but does not simply report results. It focuses on the encounter between experimental evidence, words, texts, memory, and cultural practices: how we name what we perceive, how the senses enter literature and social discourse, and how language shapes experience and makes it shareable.
As far as possible, each contribution distinguishes findings from interpretations and discusses the limits of the available evidence. Alongside critical syntheses of scientific research, individual issues may include original analyses of linguistic corpora, literary texts, word histories, and forms of public discourse.
From research to culture, without losing sight of method.
La trama dei sensi is conceived as an author-led project and may also include conversations with, or contributions by, invited scholars when relevant to an issue’s theme.
Publishing three times a year allows sufficient time for reading, verification, and revision. Each issue appears online as a coherent collection and, once completed, is also made available as a full PDF edition.
